(8권 4호) 태권도 자유품새 도입에 따른 선수와 지도자의 품새대회 인식 및 발전방향 탐색_이승진, 전정우

본 연구는 자유품새 도입에 따른 선수와 지도자의 품새대회 인식을 알아보고 이를 바탕으로 품새대회의 발전방향을 탐색하는데 목적이 있으며, 연구참여자를 선정하여 심층면담을 실시한 연구결과의 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자유품새가 품새대회에 도입됨에 따라 선수와 지도자의 기술적 부분에 대한 변화가 일어났으며, 품새대회 내부적 변화가 나타났다. 자유품새 경기를 위해 아크로바틱기술 및 시범기술에 대한 훈련방법과 새로운 지도방식이 생겨나기 시작한 것이다. 또한 심판의 주관적인 평가 방식에 대한 대책으로 선수, 지도자 및 관중들이 모두 이해 가능하고 객관적인 평가를 내릴 수 있는 명확한 경기규칙 확립이 필요하다. 둘째, 품새대회의 규모가 커지고 있으며 자유품새 경기 외부적 변화가 나타났다. 품새대회에서 자유품새 부문의 추가로 참가인원 증가를 불러오고 있으며, 조용하기만 한 대회장에 음악이 흘러나오면서 관중의 집중도를 높이고 호응을 유도하여 새로운 응원문화가 자리 잡기 시작했다. 셋째, 품새대회의 발전을 위해서는 앞으로 새로운 장르와의 융?복합이 이루어져야 하며, 다양한 스포츠 이벤트와 매스미디어의 노출이 필요하다. 세계비치태권도대회의 성공적인 개최로 태권도가 타 장르와의 융?복합을 통해 새로운 영역으로 발전할 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 대중들의 태권도 품새에 대한 인식을 변화시켜 태권도 품새대회의 관심도 상승과 자발적 참여를 독려하기 위해서는 다양한 스포츠 이벤트를 열어 관중의 니즈를 충족시켜야 할 것이다. 또한 이러한 태권도 품새에 대한 인식 변화를 위해서는 매스미디어의 노출이 필요하다. 이를 통해 태권도가 가지고 있는 일반적인 인식을 바꾸어 대중이 가지고 있는 벽을 허물고 태권도 품새대회의 발전을 도모해야 할 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the perception of athletes and instructors regarding the Poomsae competition in accrodance with the introduction of Freestyle Poomsae, and ways to develop the Poomsae competitions. First, as the Freestyle Poomsae were introduced to the Poomsae competition, the technical part of the athletes and the instructors changed and the Poomsae competition was internally changed. Acrobatic skills and demonstration skills and new teaching methods have begun to develop for freestyle Poomsae. Also, as a countermeasure for the subjective evaluation method of the referee, it is necessary to establish a clear competition rule in order to make objective evaluation for the athletes, instructors, and audients to undersatand and show optically. Second, the size of the Poomsae competition is increasing and the change of Freestyle Poomsae competition had external changes. In the Poomsae contest, the number of participants increased by adding of the Freestyle Poomsae section, and as the music, concentration of audients, and cheering cultures are forming new cultures unlike the past Poomsae competitions. Third, in order to develop the Poomsae competition, fusion with new genres should be made, and by fusing with various sports and mass media, it should be exposed. Through the successful hosting of the World Beach Taekwondo Competition, Taekwondo has confirmed the possibility of developing a new field by fusion with other genres. In order to change the perception of public regarding taekwondo Poomsae competition and to increase interest and spontaneous participation, the needs of public must be satisfied by helding various sports events and exposing in media. Through this, it is necessary to change the general perception of Taekwondo to break the current perception and prejudice of public, and to promote the development of Taekwondo Poomsae competition.
