본 연구는 국내 태권도 시범경연대회의 경기규정에 관한 다양한 문제점을 탐색하고자 하였다. 특히 태권도 시범경연대회의 평가기준이 확립되지 않은 현 상황에서 이에 관한 중요 요인과 문제점을 도출, 태권도 시범경연대회 경기규정의 기준을 마련하고, 개선 및 발전 방안을 모색하여 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 과거 국기원, 대한태권도협회, 세계태권도연맹 대표 시범단 활동을 했던 연구자 중 현재 태권도 시범경연대회의 심판으로 3회 이상 위촉되었거나 각 기관에서 태권도 관련 교수 또는 지도자, 연구자로 활동중인 12명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였으며, 연구 참여자별로 심층면담을 4차례 이상 실시한 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 태권도 시범경연대회에서 사용되는 용어에 관한 문제점으로 시범 종목에 관한 용어의 정립과 태권도시범 기술에 관한 용어의 정립이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 태권도 시범경연대회의 평가항목에 관한 문제점이 제기되었으며, 이에 대한 하위영역으로 평가항목의 개념정립의 부재와 중요 평가항목 선정이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 태권도 시범경연대회의 평가방식에 관한 문제점이 제기 되었으며, 이에 대한 하위 영역으로 완파위주의 평가방식, 변별력 없는 격파물의 사용, 명확한 감점기준의 부재, 평가 영역의 문제 총 4가지로 나타났다. 넷째, 태권도 시범경연대회의 심판 자질에 관한 문제점이 제시되었으며 하위 영역으로는 심판 전문성 강화와 체계적인 심판교육의 필요성을 제시하였다. 다섯째, 시범 경연대회에서 선수들이 안전하게 기술을 수행 할 수 있는 장치가 미비하게 나타난다는 문제점이 제시 되었으며, 법적, 행정적, 운영적인 제도적 보완의 필요성이 있다고 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate various problems related to the competition regulations of the domestic Taekwondo demonstration contest. Especially, in the current situation where the evaluation criteria of Taekwondo pilot contest is not established, it is necessary to establish the criteria of the Taekwondo pilot competition and to provide basic data by seeking improvement and development plan. In order to accomplish these research objectives, researchers who have participated in the demonstration teams of the Kukkiwon, the Korea Taekwondo Association, and the World Taekwondo have been nominated more than three times as judges of the Taekwondo demonstration competition, or are active as Taekwondo professors, 12 participants were selected as research participants and more than 4 in-depth interviews were conducted for each participant. The results of the study are summarized as follows. Firstly, it is necessary to establish the terms of the demonstration events and the terms of the demonstration technology of Taekwondo as problems related to the terms used in the Taekwondo pilot contest. Secondly, there were problems about the evaluation items of Taekwondo pilot contest, and it was found that there was no need to conceptualize evaluation items and select important evaluation items as sub?categories Thirdly, there were four problems in evaluation method of Taekwondo demonstration contest. There were 4 types of evaluation criteria such as evaluation method based on WB, non - discriminative use of defeat, lack of clear deduction criteria, and evaluation category. Fourthly, the problems about evaluating the qualities of Taekwondo demonstration contest were presented, and the necessity for reinforcement of referee expertise and systematic referee education was suggested as sub-categories Lastly, there is a problem that there is no enough devices for the players to perform safely in the pilot contest, and the legal, administrative, and operational institutional supplementations are essential for the better competition.
