본 연구의 목적은 태권도 선수들의 열정과 의도적 연습간의 관계에서 코칭유형의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 2017년 전국체육대회에 참가한 태권도 선수 177명을 대상으로, 열정, 코칭유형, 의도적 연습을 측정하였다. 수집된 자료를 분석하기 위해 자료 분석은 Amos 18.0과 SPSS18.0, PROCESS Macro(V.2.13) 프로그램을 사용하여 분석을 실시하였으며, 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 조화열정은 자율성지지 코칭에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 통제적 코칭에는 유의한 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 강박열정은 자율성지지 코칭에 유의한 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 통제적 코칭에는 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자율성지지 코칭은 의도적 연습에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 통제적 코칭은 의도적 연습에 비유의적인 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 조화열정은 자율성지지 코칭을 경유하여 의도적 연습에 유의한 간접효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 강박열정은 통제적 코칭을 경유하여 의도적 연습에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of coaching type in the relationship between the passion and deliberate practice of Taekwondo players. The subjects were 177 Taekwondo athletes who participated in the 2017 Athletic Competition in the research. The survey measured passion, coaching type, and deliberate practice. To analyze the collected data, the analysis was conducted using the Amos 18.0, SPSS 18.0, and PROCESS Macro(V.2.13). The major results were as follow. First, the harmony passion had a positive influence on the autonomy supportive coaching, and it had a negative influence on the controlling coaching. Obsessive passion is found to have a significant negative impact on autonomy supportive coaching, and have a significant positive influence on controlling coaching. Second, autonomy supportive coaching effected positively on deliberate practice, and controlling coaching had a positive effect on deliberate practice, which was ineffective. Third, the harmony passion was shown to have a significant indirect effect on deliberate practice through autonomy supportive coaching, and the obsession passion did not significantly affect deliberate practice through controlled coaching.
