이 연구는 태권도 수련활동에 참여하는 태권도 선수들이 지각하는 심리적 욕구만족 척도의 타당도를 검증하고 측정학적 특성을 검사하는데 목적이 있다. 수도권과 지방에 소재하고 있는 태권도 선수들과 태권도를 전공하고 있는 선수들을 대상으로 모집틀과 모집단을 설정한 다음 단순무선표집(Simple random sampling) 방법을 활용하여 총 350부의 표본을 추출하여 302명을 분석하였다. 신체활동 참가자의 참가 시작과 지속에 대한 기본 심리적 욕구를 측정하기 위하여 정종훈과 김응준(2015)이 Wilson, Rogers, Rodgers와 Wild (2006)의 심리적 욕구 만족 척도(The Psychological Need Satisfaction in Exercise Scale; PNSE)를 번안하고 검증절차를 거친 척도를 사용하였다. 이 척도는 18문항으로 구성되어 있으며 유능성, 자율성, 관계성 각각 6문항으로 구성되어 있다. 척도는 1점(전혀 그렇지 않다) 에서 7점(매우 그렇다)의 Likert 척도로 구성되어 있다. 수거된 자료 중 302명의 자료를 IBM SPSS STATISTICS 23 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석을 실시하였고, 타당도와 심리측정학적 특성은 문항반응이론을 적용하기 위하여 WINSTEPS 4.0.0 (Linacre, 2017)을 사용하여 응답범주수의 적절성, 문항적합도와 문항난이도, 척도자체의 난이도에 따른 적절성을 산출하고 성별에 따른 차별기능문항을 평가하였다. 연구결과로는 첫째, 총 18문항으로 구성된 심리적 욕구만족 척도는 일차원성 가정을 만족하였다. 둘째, 응답 범주수에 대한 타당도를 범주 확률 곡선으로 확인한 결과 7 범주(Category)가 타당한 것으로 판단하였다. 셋째, 문항 적합도 결과 18개 문항중 2개 문항(문항 11번, 문항 18번)들이 적합하지 못한 문항이었다. 넷째, 엘리트 태권도 선수들의 성별에 따른 차별기능문항 분석 결과 5개 문항(문항 3번, 문항 14번, 문항 15번, 문항 17번, 문항 18번)이 차별적으로 기능하는 것으로 판정되었다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the psychological need satisfaction in exercise scale's validity and psychometric properties in korean Taekwondo athletes. To accomplish study purpose, 302 players participated in this study and they completed the enumeration survey. A research tool used in this study was an the psychological need satisfaction in exercise scale developed by Wilson, Rogers, Rodgers, and Wild (2006). Total 18 questions were used with 7 point Likert scale. Frequency and principal component analysis were conducted with SPSS 23.0. WINSTEPS 4.0.0(Linacre, 2017) was used for calculating item goodness-of-fit, scale propriety, and differential item functioning by gender were calculated. All alpha level was set at 0.05. Statistical analysis showed results as follows. First, principal component analysis showed that unidimensionality is satisfied. Second, 7 point scale was suitable for scale propriety resulting from stage index judgment. Third, 2 items(item 11 and item 18) showed problems in item goodness-of-fit. Finally, 5 items (item 3, item 14, item 15, item 17, item 18) were estimated as the differential item functioning.
