This paper is not a research report. It is a lecture note for the world Taekwondo Instructors. Taekwondo education is a physical training, by repeating physical motions over and over again. Similarly, character education must be done through mental training by repeating thought process over and over again. But conventional character educations are given by lectures just like knowledge educations. Those are mistakes. HPM (Habituation and Practice Model) is a new method to teach moral characters using repetitive training. It consists three principles namely ① Good characters are good habits. ② Characters to be achieved are formulated as 1-3-10. ③ Using 1-1-6, each moral lesson becomes a habit. 1-1-6 is the major process, and it could be carried along with Taekwondo training, which means no extra times are necessary. The difficulty of character education is to bring it a daily ritual, but Taekwondo itself is a ritual. Therefore Taekwondo is an ideal method for the character education. In this paper, the relations between Taekwondo and moral character education is examined. Then 1-3- 10 and 1-1-6 will be explained. After that, the method of implementation will be demonstrated.
