(3권 1호) 지태, 천권 품새의 품새선에 관한 고찰_홍성정

이 연구는 태권도 공인 품새 선에 대한 문자학적 고찰로서 지태, 천권 품새의 철학적 의미를 담고 있는 품새 선에 대한 탐색이다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한글의 훈민정음(訓民正音) 해례본(解例本) 제자(題字)원리를 고찰한 결과 한글모음 ‘ㅗ, ㅏ, ㅛ, ㅑ’는 하늘에서 생겨나 양(陽)을 나타내고, ‘ㅜ, ㅓ, ㅠ, ㅕ’는 땅에서 생겨나 음(陰)을 나타내고 있다. 그러나 국기원 태권도교본에 의하면 지태는 땅을 나타내는 ''ㅗ'', 천권은 하늘을 나타내는 ''ㅜ''로 설명하고 있으나, 한글 모음의 제자(題字) 원리와는 상반된 설명으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 태권도 품새 지태, 천권 품새선의 자형(자形), 자음(音), 자의(자意)와 부합되는 철학적 의미를 설명하고 있는 한자의 문자학적 탐색을 통해 지태 품새선 ''ㅗ''는 윗 상(上), 천권 품새선 ''ㅜ''는 아래 하(下)의 고문자인 것으로 확인되었다.

This study is a exploration of Poomsae lines contained philosophical meanings with Jitae and Chonkwon. Abstract of this study is below. The first, ‘ㅗ, ㅏ, ㅛ, ㅑ’ those are vowel of Hangul(Korean alphabet) represent 'Yang' that symbolizes the sky and ‘ㅜ, ㅓ, ㅠ, ㅕ’ represent 'Yin' that symbolizes the earth by result from considering the priciple of making characters of Haereibon Hoonminjungeum. However   'Taekwondo textbook' says that Jitae represent ‘ㅗ’ symbolize the earth and Chonkwon represent ‘ㅜ’ symbolize the sky in contrast to the principle of vowels of Hangul. The second, It was verified ‘ㅗ’, Poomsae line of Jitae is a ancient letter of '上' and ‘ㅜ’, that of Chonkwon is that of ‘ㅜ’ through a study of grphonomy for accordance with 'Poomsae lines', 'shape, sound and meaning of letters' and 'philosophical meaning'.
