(6권 2호) 미국 태권도장 서비스품질요인의 상대적 중요도_김두한

이 연구는 계층분석에 효율적인 연구를 진행가능토록 할 미국 내 태권도장 한인 지도자를 모집단으로 하여 편의표본추출법에 의해 23명의 연구참여자를 선정하고 불성실한 응답자 6명을 제외하고 총 17명의 최종 연구참여자를 바탕으로 설문지를 활용한 계층분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 미국 태권도장의 서비스품질 구성요인 중, 유형성 요소가 가장 높은 우선순위를 나타내었으며, 공감성, 응답성, 신뢰성, 확신성 등의 순위로 나타났다. 이에 따른 미국 태권도장의 경영적 시사점은 다음과 같이 정리 할수 있다. 첫째, 미국 태권도장 경영에 있어서 시설과 장비, 환경이 매우 중요하므로 지도자의 개성과 능력에 적합한 프로그램에 맞추어 합리적인 시설 구비를 해야 할 것이다. 둘째, 지속적인 수련생 욕구파악을 위한 경영활동을 기획 및 실행해야 할 것이다. 셋째, 현지인들과의 문화적 간국을 최소화 하기 위한 방법을 태권도장 경영 시 학부모 및 수련생과의 자연스러운 의사소통의 실현에서 찾아간다. 이 연구가 미국 태권도장으로의 진출을 준비하는 국내 지도자들에게 기초자료로서 의의를 지니는 바, 그 시사점은 다음과 같이 정리할 수 있다. 첫째, 미국의 스포츠시설 및 사설 교육서비스 기관 운영에 대한 제도와 법률에 관한 기초교육이 이루어져야 한다. 둘째, 영어 기초교육과 함께 미국 문화에 대한 교육이 집중적으로 이루어 져야 한다. 셋째, 미국 사회에서 통용되는 사무교육을 제공해야 한다. 넷째, 한국역사교육과 함께 무도사 교육이 동시에 이루어져야 한다.

In order to make the process of hierarchical analysis more efficient, this research is done based on the survey submitted by 17 participants out of 23 people selected by convenience sampling method when Korean instructors of taekwondo studios in the United States are a population, and 6 are excluded for insincerity. As a result, among the various factors of service quality in American taekwondo studios, service tangibility is a priority, and this is followed by perceptual openness, responsiveness, reliability, and certainty in order. Hereupon, the managerial implications of the result for American taekwondo studios are the followings. First, in terms of managing taekwondo studios in the United States, facilities, equipments, and circumstances are very important factors, so those that fit with instructors’ style and capability should be prepared. Second, there should be a planning and execution of continuous managerial activities to understand trainees’ needs. Third, to minimize the cultural gap with locals, instructors should realize the importance of natural communication with trainees and their parents and include this as their managerial task. Furthermore, this research has following implications as a significant base line data for Korean instructors who seek entry into taekwondo studios in the United States. Firstly, there should be a basic education on the American legal system of operating sports facilities and private education service institutions. On top of that, the education on American culture is also necessary. Third, the education on office work used in the United States should be taught. Lastly, Korean history and chivalry should be educated as well.
