(5권 1호) 태권도 공인품새의 변화에 대한 고찰_곽기옥·김나혜

공인품새는 태권도 기술의 정수로서 기술의 표준을 제시하고 일관된 수련을 돕는다. 또한, 심사나 경기종목으로 사용되어 기술의 수준을 판가름할 수 있는 기준으로 태권도 수련에서 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 따라서 이러한 공인품새의 제정 당시 모습과 현재의 모습을 비교하는 것은 태권도 기술에 대한 조명과 발전을 위해 필요하다. 이는 태권도 기술의 변화양상을 표면화하여 품새에 대한 이해도를 높이고, 기초자료를 제공하는 역할을 한다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 문헌연구를 통해 공인품새의 원형을 이해하고 현재의 공인품새와 비교함으로써 변화내용을 고찰하였다. 이에 따른 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 팔괘품새의 순서변화가 있었고, 백제형이 평원으로 신라형이 일여로 명칭이 변화되었다. 둘째, 공인품새에 태극품새가 포함되었으며, 태극형1장과 태극형2장이 제외되었다. 또한, 고려품새의 경우 초창기 품새선이 (l)의 형태로 구성되었으며, 기술의 순서나 구성에서 전혀 다른 모습을 나타냈다. 셋째, 공인품새의 기술구성내용이 변화되었다. 넷째, 품새 기술의 구현방식이 변화하였고 준비서기자세, 발기술, 손기술에서 변화가 나타났다. 본 연구는 문헌연구를 통해 공인품새의 변화내용에 대한 고찰을 실시하였지만, 문헌에 기록된 내용에 한계가 있어 변화내용에 대해 확대 해석의 오류를 범할 가능성이 있다. 따라서 이러한 기초자료를 바탕으로 공인품새의 변화과정이나 배경원인에 대한 후속연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다.

As essence of Taekwondo techniques, official Poomsae suggests technical standards and helps consistent training. Official Poomsae also plays an important role in Taekwondo training as standards capable of judging technical level by being used in evaluation or sports event. Thus, comparing the type o f official Poomsae i t was first established to its current t ype is necessary for casting light upon and developing Taekwondo skills. The foregoing plays a role of heightening understanding of Poomsae by coming the aspect of change in Taekwondo skills to the surface and providing preliminary data. Thus, this study conducted consideration on the details of changes by understanding original type of official Poomsae through literature research and comparing it to current official Poomsae through literature research, and the results are as follows. First, there was a change in the order of Palggwae Poomsae and the names of Baekjae and Silla type were changed to Pyeongwon and Ilyeo respectively. Second, Taegeuk Poomsae was included in the official Poomsae, and Chapter 1 and 2 of Taegeuk type were excluded, whereas Goryeo type() underwent changes both in Poomsae line and contents of technical composition, and was included as an official Poomsae with a same name only. Third, contents of technical composition of official Poomsae were changed. Fourth, implementation method of Poomsae technique was changed, and techniques of foot and hands as well as posture of preparatory standing were also changed. This study performed its objectives to provide preliminary data on the details of changes through literature research, but has possibility to make a mistake for limitation in the contents recorded in literature. Therefore, follow-up studies on the process of change and background cause shall be conducted on the basis of such preliminary data.
